In relation to other rentals, this house is moderately priced and a good value. The Waters is a beautiful community. Dockside Realty was efficient, responsive, and provided good instructions.
Pros: A Lake House has plenty of room for the advertised up to 10 guest occupancy. There are two good sized living areas and adequate couches and chairs to accommodate 10 guests. The living room TV is huge and there are a huge number of channels available through the TV service. There is plenty of closet space. There’s a really nice laundry room with full size and updated appliances. The kitchen and dining areas are nice sized and kitchen appliances are new and in good working condition. The deck is a very nice feature. There’s a ping pong table on the lower level.
Cons: The dining arrangements are inadequate as there are only 4 dining room chairs. There are 4 chairs at a game table on the lower level, which we used, but we had to cart them up and down the staircase which was not the safest maneuver and they are not the right height for a dining table. There is no space in the kitchen for renter’s food items. You have to put your food products on the counter tops – not very efficient. The furnishings are adequate but definitely showing their age. Bed coverings could stand to be refreshed. We found a total of 8 hangers in the whole house. There is some outdoor seating but not enough for ten guests to enjoy the deck together.
Note: Linens are provided through a linen service but you have to make-up the beds when you arrive. It would be nice if you could have an option to pay for the beds to be made-up before arrival.
