We enjoyed the privacy of the property. I came for the hot tub and a view. It did not disappoint. The check-in location is 25 mins away from the actual home. Check-in is at 4pm and they close at 5pm. This was a bit stressful for us with young kids. Check-out requires that you clean, dry, and put away all dishes rather than running them in the dishwasher. With a 10am check-out, that was extremely stressful trying to get through breakfast after such a relaxing time. t would make a huge difference to allow guests to leave dishes running in the dishwasher like most places.

We had 5 adults ranging 60-29 and 2 children 4yr and 18 mo. The house was very spacious, lovely and extremely clean on private cove and perfectly sized for our family-particularly when kiddies go to bed before adults. Our little ones were able to wear ‘swimmies’ and wade in right off the beach when they weren’t playing in the sand. We spent so much time on the dock and in the water! You can even fish off the dock. We didn’t catch any biggies but we did see a few along the edges under the foliage. Such a great place. We would rent again. Recommendations for future renters: 1)Rent a pontoon boat (and of course a tube to pull for adventurous folks-60 y/o and 4 y/o did just fine)from Midlantic Water Sports (great place btw) that is a quick 5 minute drive away and dock it at the home. We rented for 3 days and that was plenty. Drive it to Cocktail Cove to wade in the beautiful warm water. Fish where they suggest. You WILL catch! 2)Bring all of your paper products and cooking spices with you. There was very little left in the home. 3)Bring a float or 3 or noodles and any outdoor toys kiddies might need. There were a couple floats left maybe by the previous renters but from reviews they are not typically there. 4) Lakes are not typically my thing so I wore water shoes but my family said the bottom was not too ‘squishy’. 5) Catch as many sunsets you can from the dock or the deck. House named ‘Sunset Serenity’ for a reason. Amazing!

This is a beautiful property on a picture perfect location. It was our second stay at Sunset Serenity and we will likely be back. The only drawback is the pick up and drop off of the key at the realtor. A key box would definitely be much much more convenient.

We have stayed at this property twice so far and plan on continuing to come back every summer. We spend every day outside fishing, swimming and brought our kayaks this year! My 3 year old daughter loves the sandy beach, wading in the water and watching all of the fish. The kitchen is amazing and we have had some great cookouts. Plenty of space for people to spread out and we have lots of fun with the board games, foosball and air hockey tables of it happens to rain.

This was a wonderful house with a really wonderful beach! The teens loved the big basement area with game tables, and we all loved the hot tub. Great grill and deck. Here’s our few complaints: The master bedroom is right over the basement “rec room” and the house is not at all soundproof. The owners left no water toys of any kind (tubes, kayaks, rafts, etc.) which would have been nice to have. It’s a great dock and beach. Other good things: wifi was great. Very well-stocked kitchen with every utensil and pan you could need. 2 great refrigerators kept us in plenty of ice. Lovely bathrooms. Loved the living room that looks out over the lake. It was a great experience.

Great location on the water (about 20 minutes from restaurants and the grocery store). The boat dock and sand area were great for fishing and for the kids to play. Make sure you have lots of citronella candles! The only negative is the check-in/check-out process. It’s almost an hour round-trip to the management office so it would’ve been nice to avoid that. But the house itself was great and exactly as advertised.

The rental process and experience was very good and the staff was friendly and responsive. We had to pay a little extra for an earlier check-in time, but seeing the joy and excitement on everyone’s faces was so worth it!

This was a gorgeous house! We had 9 adults and a 3 year old. The kitchen was fully stocked, the dining room table and couches were big enough for the whole family, and the bedrooms were nice. Outside; the boat house was perfect for hanging out, the beach and shallow water was great for little ones and perfect for putting kayaks in. We didn’t leave much because of covid, but we didn’t need or want to. Amazingly peaceful!
