We rented this property for an extended family Thanksgiving trip. The home was clean and well maintained. Great location on the lake on a point with scenic view. Lots of fisherman floating past. Convenient location to restaurant and boat launch. Basement game room great for kids. Second fridge is basement very handy. Beautiful siding areas with peaceful lake view Wi-Fi slow / unreliable but that might be a Lake Anna problem not specific to this house. Would happily stay here again!

Great time for our extended family of 10 people! Check-in was smooth the house was fantastic and met all of our needs. Easy location for boat rentals and access to the main channels of the lake. Would definitely stay here again!

The house is spacious with several areas for gathering. There were 7 adults in our group. The kitchen had all the tools we needed to cook meals and we enjoyed the fire pit area and the patio. Unfortunately, we were unable to use the kayaks as we would have had to get in the water to launch them and it was too cold. The views of the lake are great.

We had a wonderful time in Lake Anna! The house was really nice, just a little worn out in places, but overall a great place to call Home Base. The views were amazing and my family absolutely loved having access to the kayaks and the kids enjoyed having their own hang out space with ping pong and foosball. We even met some nice neighbors who recommended some great places for dinner. Highly recommend this house for a stay in Lake Anna!

This was a terrific house for the children and grandchildren to gather and celebrate their mom/Grammys 60th birthday. The views of the lake are spectacular and the gathering spots inside and outside of the home are great! Perfect home for a perfect weekend!

I stayed at Home Base with my teenage children and some of their friends. This gorgeous house is in pristine condition and I actually felt like I was in a large hotel. The house overlooks Lake Anna, and the various views are breathtaking. The house is so spacious that when I went to bed before the kids, they stayed downstairs, listening to their music and enjoyed the ping pong and foosball tables until the wee hours of the morning. I didn’t hear a peep! I will definitely be back! The owners have done a wonderful job.

This spacious home has great bedrooms and many hang out spaces – inside and out! The view is beautiful and we found the setting very relaxing. And we loved having a restaurant, sandwich shop, and ice cream parlor in walking distance!

HOME BASE is a perfect vacation spot. Just a short drive from DC. The neighborhood and the property itself are just beautiful. The hosts have thought of everything to make our stay comfortable and relaxing. Games for the kids in the basement, kayaks to borrow and the perfect outdoor dining space for enjoying the lake. The firepit is excellent and the view of the stars at night is magic. There’s plenty of space for everyone to spread out in the house. Having Tim’s Rivershore just around the corner meant our carry-out seafood was still piping hot by the time we got it back the back patio table. Loved our trip there this spring and will definitely be back!
