Marc Carraway began performing in the Charlottesville area while a student at UVa in the early 1980’s, playing 70’s Acoustic Jimmy Buffett, Neil Young, the Band, Bob Dylan, Eagles, etc.He performed as a full-time touring musician with a number of bands, Blues, Bluegrass, Jazz, Reggae, Swing, as well as original tunes, Throughout 80’s and early 90’s, performing vocals, Guitar, Banjo, Mandolin and Slide Guitar. Marc later recorded two solo albums, both of which received airplay on National Acoustic/Folk radio. He returned to Charlottesville area in the 90’s. Marc Co-founded high-energy Folk/Americana group Scuffletown in 1998, performing 30 to 40 shows at wineries, concerts and festivals throughout Central Virginia each year (see www.scuffletownmusic.com for more info). He has recorded 4 albums with Scuffletown, receiving regular airplay on National Acoustic/Folk radio programs. His solo repertoire ranges from Traditional Blues and Bluegrass, Jazz, Reggae and Acoustic Folk and Rock.
