Boating Licenses

The state of Virginia requires all drivers of motorized watercraft which includes boats and jet skis, to have a Virginia Boater Safety License. If you do not have one then you will need to obtain one before you can drive a boat or personal watercraft on Lake Anna. All rental outfits also require you to have your Boater License before you can rent. If you are coming from out of state and hold a Boater Safety License from that state, that is acceptable for Virginia as long as you have it on you. If you need to obtain a license, please visit www.boatus.org.

Fishing Licenses

If you plan on fishing for Lake Anna’s great Stripers or any other fish, you will need to obtain a Virginia Fishing License. If you do not have one, you will need to obtain one from www.dgif.virginia.gov.
