Lake Anna Private Side Rentals

Lake Anna is approximately 17 miles long with 200 miles of shore line divided into two parts. The Private Side is formed of three main bodies of water, connected by navigable canals, roughly 4,000 acres. The private side, working as a cooling pond (also known as the “warm” side), the water circulates through the cooling ponds before re-entering the public side and over the dam. The Private Side tends to be warmer at the end of a summer season and far into the fall and winter giving you an extended swimming, boating and fishing season (fish tend to migrate to the warmer water). There are many natural springs that can be found giving areas of the private side fresh cool water. The private side has no marinas or public access ramps; only property owners, their guests and North Anna Power Station employees have access to the waters of this side of the lake. This provides for less boat traffic and crowded areas in which to fish, water ski, wake board and swim.
